ANTICA FARMACIA

This exhibition, first presented at the 2021 edition of Frieze Masters and later at the Galerie Avelin , paid tribute to the rich and colorful ceramic creations made for pharmacy shops.
In the Renaissance, the concept of ceramic installations first appeared in Italy and, for the first time in Europe, they were placed not in palaces or churches, but in shops: pharmacies! During the Grand Siècle, this phenomenon spread throughout France.
